Frustrating to some..enjoyable if explored
Its not perfect, in fact Its very frustrating to begin with, the very first level will feel like the last as you have to leap over the place trying not to fall to your doom, or get stabbed to death by prickly flowers its that first level that determins wether or not a player will continue with the game and thats usually how long it lasts. It is extremely irritating at times, when your trying to get down a rock face and somehow lose health anyway, or when you jump the Dinosaur suddenly drops through the object it was aiming for and plummets to sheer doom. A lot of the levels are pointless, your just running about jumping, killing other Dinosaurs that get in your way, and trying to survive to the end of the level. If I wanted to play a game of life, I'll just step outside.
As your playing, you will notice a small eye in the corner which changes whenever you kill something, the more you kill, the higher your attack and less damage the Dinosaur takes. With the Hunter, it shows what weapon you have, example: Flamethrower. The only thing that seems to be worth doing is collecting DNA strands, miss a single one and you're locked out of the rest of the Dinosaur Galleries, although that seems rather pointless with the amount of unlock password codes the game has now. Instead of using a Save feature, it gives you a 12 Button long Password which is made up of the D-Pads T X S O.
Apart from its aparant frustative curve, I still find being the Dinosaur quite fun acting out its moves, battling for Survival, killing to live and exploring the world through their blood thirsty eyes. Dinosaur and Jurassic Park fans will find it as interesting as I do, but for Hard core Gamers..steer clear you will either throw your controller out of frustration or snap the disc (Ive done both before).
