Stayed close to the movie, but fell short when it came to the control response and camera postioning.

The game did an amazing job of staying close to the story line. Extremely close. There is actual video footage from the movie in the cut-scenes. It actually feels like you are IN the movie (It's a cliche remark, I know). If you are a huge LOTR fan, you will probably love this game. The fighting is pretty decent and there is a vast character selection. The missions that you have to do are innovative, but sometimes frustrating. Speaking of frustrating, let's talk about the camera angles. JESUS CHRIST!!! How did it make it through testing! It is horrible!! The view is usually extremly far away and there is no marker to indicate which character you are. When you get surrounded by bad guys, you will just have to start mashing the X button. After doing that for a while, you might be able to pick your character out of the crowd, if you are lucky. The game would have been much better if it wasn't for the camera angles. Ohh, I forgot to mention that sometimes the camera will zoom in too close when you are running to get somewhere and the enemies will pop out in front of you and kick your f****** a** !!!! There are a few other problems with the game, and I am tired of complaining. The sound is respectable and the graphics aren't anything too special. God, it makes me mad that just a little bit of tweeking would have made this an excellent game. They stayed true to the movie, but fell short when it came to some of the gameplay aspects.
