An unusual and great sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Ocaraina of Time.

The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask is the sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. They change things quite a bit in this one, which makes for an unusual sequel, but rest assured that this game is almost as good as the previous one.

Gameplay, 10. The basic gameplay is about the same as in Ocarina of Time but there are many different things in this game. First off you only have 3 days until Skull Kid crashes the Moon into Clock Town and destroys Termina, a parallel world. The days are a lot slower than they were in Ocarina of Time and they're even slower when you play that song that slows down time. You have to play The Song of Time before the Moon crashes into Clock Town so you can start from day one again. Don't worry about any items you may have gotten during those three days because you keep them, but you run out of ammo, arrows, bombs, etc, for all items though, but at least you don't have to get them again. You also lose all rupees you may have gotten in the 3 days, fortunatly you can deposit all the rupees you got into the bank in West Clock Town and for some reason it will still be there when you go back in time. This may be illogical by all meaning but it's very convenient. Now you may be wondering "Why not just use all the time I got and let the Moon crash?", well if you this it doesn't save it and you lose, not only the progress you made in dungeons and side-quests, but any items or important things you may have done, while if you play The Song of Time it automatically saves the game for you.
And speaking of the save system, they changed that a little bit too. On Ocarina of Time you could save any time you wanted to. Now there are 2 ways you can save: play The Song of Time like I said earlier, or go find Owl statues, hit them with your sword to open them up and save and quit. Unfortunatly you can't use this method at the beginning of the game because you don't have your sword at the beginning.
Majora's Mask relies heavly on the use of masks. Different masks do different things, some are just generally useful, some are needed for specific side-quests. The most important masks though are the ones that transfrom you into a different race. These three masks are: The Deku Scrub Mask, The Goron Mask, and The Zora Mask. The Deku Scrub can blow bubbles to kill enemies with, go in flowers where you can spring up and sort of fly around with, and that about it. The Goron is really strong, can roll up and race around which is really fun I might add, but the Goron can't jub and is really slow in attacking. The Zora can swim at high speeds, which is a blast to do at The Great Bay, make some sort of electric force field, or something like that around himself, and use boomerang like scales to attack enemies with, the Zora is also pretty good at close range combat.
The game's main story is actually shorter than the one in Ocarina of Time, there are only 5 dungeons, but it makes up for this in tons of side-quests, some required for you to find and do.
The game plays really good actually despite such major differences between it and its predecessor. Many of the different masks you get to use are really fun, and I'm not just talking about the Deku Scrub, Goron, and Zora masks either.

Graphics, 10. The graphics are just about perfect. Actually they're even better than the ones in Ocarina of Time. There is a bigger variety in textures in this game and the different areas of Termina look even better than those in Ocarina of Time.

Sound, 10. The sound is just as good as in Ocarina of Time. Most of the music is different but some songs were brought back from the previous game. There is also more different kind of sounds in people's voices they do in this one than in the last game.

Value, 9. The game is not quite as long as Ocarina of Time. There are only 5 dungeons, and there are dozens of side-quests for you to do but doing dungeons is more fun than side-quests, even if they do involve getting new masks.

Difficulty, Hard. This game is a lot harder than Ocarina of Time. The dungeons are much harder than the previous game's dungeons. They really just get hard after the first one, and even that one is harder than the first 3 dungeons on Ocarina of Time. The side-quests are also harder and more hard to figure out to do than in the previous game. Some are also really drawn out and you need to have good timing to do.

Tilt, 10. I actually liked this game about as much as I did Ocarina of Time. They're both amazing action adventure games to play. This game may change almost everything but it does it without killing the game.
