I can not believe this game was released 16 years ago

I was deeply touched and inspired by this game when I first played it as a kid. I started playing it again this week and I am amazed at how well this masterpiece aged. There are too many forgettable and flawed Game Boy titles, games where you feel the limitation of the system or the creative team, kids these days would not want to play half the old GB catalogue.
Link's Awakening was more than a good Zelda game; everything about it was heartfelt, simple and was just flowing perfectly. The right people worked together at the right time to make something that changed me in the first half of my life. I remember the details of this unique world very well and I remember where I was when I first played it.
So the feeling is twice as intense now and I know it is not about nostalgia of classic or old school video games. Played 16 years later the music, the graphics and the game play are as strong and brilliant as they were in yellowish green in 1993. Where will I be when I play it again in 16 years from 2009?

You should play it once while we are still young.
