I used to be a PC only player and I watched someone play the game because I knew I would not be able to play it. I got introduced to a PS3 by chance and then I started buying PS3 games. I was blown away by the game on PS3, even though technically I knew the game (I personally played it around 5 or 6 years after its launch).
I will try to make this as spoiler free as I can. I loved the story and how characters evolved, I loved the graphics that stand even to this day. I have to admit I resonated with all the emotional moments throughout the game. It actually made me think what would I do in case of an outbreak like that (and yet we are in the middle of an outbreak that is not as bad as a zombie outbreak, but still bad enough). This game was the one that introduced me to the controller scheme (being a mouse and keyboard player at heart). I cursed during those areas where you are thrown in the middle of dozens of enemies (some difficult to beat with an entire arsenal). I paused the game very often to look at what it showed me. It is definitely one of the best PlayStation games that any PlayStation owner has to at least try (now that it can be played on PS4 and PS5).
