One of the most enjoyable FPS games that I've ever played!
I'll get right to it and write about the gameplay! This game is very, very fun! The controls are wonderful. I've actually only used the default controls! That's how smooth and responsive the controls are. Everything can be customized, though, so it's all up to you! Gesturing on the Wii remote is for jabs with your weapon, and motioning with the nunchuck tosses your grenade; these motions are great and responsive. Sniping in this game (especially with the SCAR) is so much fun in single player and in the multi-player! I got used to the controls very quickly. There are 9 levels in the game. This game isn't that short, it took me over an hour to complete most levels (though I do like to take my time). You can collect Data Disks and Hidden Messages in most of the levels, which is very fun! This also provides the incentive to play levels more than once. There are also achievements to gain. I really love the levels in this game. The multi-player is fantastic! There's Free for All, Team Reaper (my favorite mode), and Team Objective with variances on each mode. It's easy to set up games and get into them; I have encountered some glitches, though nothing that's too prevalent. I haven't noticed any lag, or at least anything that's very noticeable. Overall, the on-line play has been very smooth! I know that I'll be playing this game on-line for a long while! Next, I'll go into the visuals. The visuals are excellent! High Voltage Software really did show that Wii is capable of a lot more than what you would think, especially with games other than from Nintendo. This is a great looking game, with high quality effects and lighting. One of the best looking Wii games, for sure. Finally, I want to talk about this game's music! It's wonderful! It's now some of my favorite video game music, and I will definitely buy the soundtrack if they release it! The voice acting is excellent! The voice of the character John Adams is the voice of Col. Hargrove from the Medal of Honor series! The sound effects are great, with nice weapon sounds and alien grunts.
Overall, this game is FANTASTIC! It reminds me somewhat of the old school shooters on the N64, PSOne, and the PC. That is a great thing for me because I often prefer the older shooters to the modern ones. I HIGHLY recommend this game! I can't wait for The Conduit 2!
