Although it is an abysmal failure on the multiplayer front, it succeeds in just about everything else.

User Rating: 9 | The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena PS3
Don't let that 7.0 by Gamespot fool you; this game is worth every penny and is a great game for any sci-fi fan. Any gamer looking for a great package of solid single player and extra content can look no further than The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena as the game: is actually two games in one, has multiplayer, and extra content on the Riddick universe. In case you're wondering what that other game is, it's the 2004 hit, The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay, considered a classic among original Xbox owners. In this sequel, you pick up where you left off in the first one and play Riddick, the most dangerous criminal in the known universe. After escaping Butcher Bay, you are picked up by a ship named the Dark Athena run by a deadly captain bent on capturing prisoners to turn them into her drones. As Riddick, you must sneak your way through the ship using your wits and your special eyes that allow you to see in the dark to free the prisoners and escape the scourge that is the Dark Athena. The gameplay is fairly the same from the last game, but that's okay considering it feels exactly like the game picked up from the last one. Although the multiplayer is its weakest attribute, the game is nearly perfect and seals the deal with great voice acting and story which is stronger than ever. Vin Diesel's baritone voice with the attitude of Riddick serves the game well with its dark and dystopian atmosphere. All in all, I give the game a 9.0 and anyone who is looking for some great stealth play set in a sci-fi universe, The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena is your game.
