The Bigs 2 changed that. I played the demo on XBL, and then replayed it until the game came out. I slapped down my hard earned cash and haven't regretted it since.
This game takes the best parts of the classic game of baseball and allows them to become uber fun. Hitting is both challenging and exhilirating. Pitching becomes a strategic whipfest of a great selection of pitches. In a rather stark balance is the fact you might scream at your TV.

Because, Bigs 2, in all its wonderous adornments of fun and all that is the classic american past time GIVETH and she TAKETH AWAY.
The baserunning AI does need some improvement. It's like a 'specially abled' cousin in the family, the dudes are going to run where they may sometimes. Deal with it. The rest of the family is ACE.
