Second time around does the trick for the Ninja Turtles on the NES.

User Rating: 9.2 | Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Arcade Game NES
After a very disappointing entry onto the NES, Turtles II the Arcade Game hits it big. This time around you get to pick any of the four turtles, all of which are pretty evenly matched. You battle through a number of stages, trying to reach your arch-nemesis Shredder for a final boss battle.

The majority of the game features the turtles fighting foot soldiers until you reach the end of the level and engage in a boss fight. Many of the classic Turtles villains are in this entry including Bebop and Rocksteady, Baxter Stockman, Krang, and more. Each level feels surprisingly fresh and the soundtrack to this game is great. Playing this game brings back a great sense of nostalgia for me and even today this game is still fun to play. With all of the well-known turtles villains, a balanced set of turtles to play as, and a decent story, it's very hard to find much of anything to complain about with this one.
