Funny with a side of great multiplayer.

Team Fortress 2 is by far one of the most unique online games out there. Team Fortress 2 is one of the funniest online games available. It is interesting because you can take this game seriously, and still have a good laugh.

You get to choose from 9 different unique classes. There is the Pyro, the flame thrower wielding up close and personal class. The Engineer, the class that encourages the use of sentry guns and teleporters. The Spy, the one were you'll find yourself disguising as the enemy, sneaking into their base, and slowly stabbing them all in the back. The Heavy, the one for the players who like to mow down their foes with heavy machine guns. The Sniper, who's class is self explanatory. The Solider, who is the light machine gun and rocket launcher wielding class for distance and up close battles. The Demoman, who is the grenade launching class for those players who like to cause destruction. The Scout, who is the wise cracking fast class for objective based games like capture the flag. And last but certainly not least, The Medic. The Medic is the class for the players who like to help out their friends by healing whilst they attack. With all of these classes to choose from, there is certainly a class for everyone.

With all those classes comes entertaining game modes. There is Capture the Flag, Control Point based modes, and Arena/ Team Death match. Capture the flag is a two sided struggle between both teams to capture the other teams intelligence and bring it back to their own base while trying to prevent the enemy from doing the same. Then there are the Control Point based modes. These modes are pretty self explanatory, have your team capture and hold the most points the longest. This can be either a great mode or the worst, it all depends on the teammates you have. Then there are the Team Death match based modes. These are simple yet very fun. Each character has one life and once you die there is no respawing until the other team or your own have no players left alive. Another gametype that heavily relies on good teammates.

Sadly, the multiplayer is heavily based on if you and your teammates can cooperate well. Which is a bummer because you might not be at the disposal of your friends all the time and jumping into a game isn't always the best. After a while of playing with your friends, or good teammates that you meet up with, those flaws will be easily forgotten.

The best part of Team Fortress 2 is its design. Each level looks incredible with its unique style of heavy lighting and silhouettes. Each teams base looks different than the other teams, so it's very easy to find your way home. The RED team has warm and darker coolers, while the BLU team has cooler and light colors. Accompanied by the heavily entertaining gameplay and classes, the levels feel designed for your every need. Every now and then you'll encounter slight bugs and glitches, but they are easily forgotten in the knee jerking multiplayer.
