An awesome game that never made it to the US.

Tales of Phantasia is AWESOME! Not only does the music soundtrack rock, its very innovative as well in the battle department. This game never had the tedious turn-style combat of many other RPGs at the time, but it had a fighting game type battle when you encountered an enemy! You type in different combos to do different spells and techniques to destroy the enemy, and it is nothing but NON STOP ACTION!

The Story of this game is quite dramatic. You will play this game for the first 15 minutes and already hate the bad guys with a passion. Trust me. The evil empire is conquering lands and destroying villages and killing thousands of innocents in order to revive the Evil Dhaos. The story just gets better from there, and look out Chrono Trigger, it has time travel, too!

This game is awesome and worth a download if you can find it, since, sadly, Namco didnt see fit to bring this awesome game stateside. If you want story, gameplay, awesome music, and value, play this game!
