Why Capcom, Why ?! we love you and this is how you repay us ? with this broken, AI demented, cheating piece of garbage ?
Yes, this game does look good, a bit cartoonish maybe, but it will do your hd television justice with its graphics, unfortunately that is all this title has got going for him, for the rest its just feels rushed and broken, the commands are unresponsive with a delay that reminds of lag, the AI is just dumb but it will kick your butt by cheating his ass off, it always lands hits first and his reach is always longer than yours, so go count all the box frames you want, the AI couldn't care less, if it wants to hit you with a throw, even if you're crouching down, it will, and it will take at least a quarter of your health away with a smile on his artificial face.
The online play is even worst, for starters the menu is bland and confusing, it is plagued by lag, the worst of its kind, that are times where the characters disappear from the screen, or flash like ghosts from one side of the screen to the other, it's awful.
For the rest this is all this game offers, no other modes, besides training mode,and a stupid option screen where you can adjust the hit frames for the characters, which I can only see geeks with taped up glasses using.
It was the first PSN game I have ever bought,and it's a rip off. the hype for this game is unjustified and this is coming from a guy who loves street fighter and used to spend all is quarter in the arcade rooms back in the 90's, but fair is fair.
Street Fighter is a great franchise and probably the best fighting game ever, this particular iteration though didn't live up my expectation, matter of fact, quite the opposite, what a shame.
Let's hope for a remake of "Street Fighter III third strike" to right the wrong SSF II HD remix has done to us.
