let's get straight to the point this game has been in development for a few years and is easily the most anticipated game for many players. Super smash Brothers is a franchise that's been with Nintendo for many years pretty much since the Nintendo 64 days. the game throws together iconic characters from Nintendo games and has them do battle against each other ( characters like Mario. Link. Pikachu. Fox. donkey Kong.) and many more and this one includes a few new ones but let's get on with the real review.
The Good things
#1 + iconic characters ( like I mentioned earlier they are plenty of iconic characters that you most likely already know but that makes it easier to have a favorite fighter and you will most likely find a character you did not know much about which might lead on to you finding out about a new game. and that's something this game really does very well you have lots of fun trying out the characters and trying to learn there moves they really do fight different with different powers and special moves. it's also nice to see the bigger characters like donkey Kong for example actually have some weight behind their punches and attacks which could make it harder to take them down.)
#2 + unlockables (you will find there are plenty of stuff to collect and to work towards for example you can create your own fighter in which you have to unlock outfits power points and other accessories. But you can also unlock characters. stages. and trophies all which gives a nice satisfying feeling of achievement)
#3 + gameplay. and game modes. (the gameplay is very simple to understand it is all out madness most of the time the controllers if you use the game pad may take a little bit to be used to but once you do you have lots of fun and can easily spend hours playing just the typical exhibition matches. As for game modes you have few exclusive ones to the Wii u version. those game modes are "Event mode. which online small challenge matches to help unlock rewards I enjoy this mode quite a bit it's easy to complete challenges but still offer little bit of a difficulty to make it fun" another one is "Special orders. which is used similar to unlock rewards but every battle gets harder and harder with tougher opponents and different rules but big awards" they are still the typical mini games like Home-Run Contest. Multi-Man Mode. and more that offers little fun diversions. And if you have some friends you can enjoy some online matches as well)
The Bad things
#1 = Stage creator ( I'm not going lie to you I thought this was going to be pretty cool feature to finally build your own stage to do battle on. But it's very very limited to the point you will most likely not use it so it's kind of a disappointment)
#2 = No story mode (I think there is a little mist opportunity to have a pretty fun and perhaps funny story mode to why all these characters are brought together and there could possibly be missing out on some awesome cinematic videos)

Super smash Brothers for the Wii u is a simple but addictive fighting game that's easy to pick up and play and enjoy with friends. families. and even strangers. and most likely even if you play around you will get a good amount of time and fun out of this game.
