An interesting twist to the mario series, but is it really what we were expecting?
Well its a major change from the original Mario formula but no matter how hard it tries, it is not going to feel like an actual Mario game.
Gameplay:
The change in gameplay is one of the major oddities in this game. Sure you have your normal mario moves, but now he has an oversized water gun straped to his back.
Graphics: The graphics are crisp and well done. The water is beautiful and the lighting is near perfect.
Sound: I'll admit that the music in "Mario Sunshine" can become a bit repetitive. Otherwise the regular upbeat mario music is still there.
Value: Tons of things to do, lots of hidden things to find, and not much will to do them after playing past a few levels.

If you are a fan of the Mario series (and who is'nt?) you should pick it up, but thats only because of the price reduction. You can find this game at most stores for $20.00, and it is at least worth that.
