The Greatest Racing Game of all Time due to it's HARDCORE gameplay, controls.
The game however is quite good & it's also the original but it's too childish & lame.It has an annoying gameplay, especially at turns, when you take corners, you don't have so much control over your kart & it slips out of the race track.You get power-ups along the way like the "lethal" Red-Koopa Shell to blast of your opponents, the banana peel & other stuff like that.Mario Kart is an indirect sequel(if i can say so, or should i say-it was inspired)after F-Zero-both Games using the Mode 7 thingy in the graphics.Mario Kart also inspired games like Crash Team Racing & Speed Punks on the PS1.Super Mario Kart(in fact it's not at all Super) has a lot of sequels, one more lame than the other with the epitome beeing Double Dash(i think).
You get to choose between 8 Nintendo characters(mostly from the Mario series of course)to pilot the Kart & there are 2 modes:50cc(which means easy difficulty i think) & 100cc.There are 4 Cups:Mushroom, Flower, Star & Special Cup, each having 5 Race-Tracks.The music is quite pathetic too.This game is fun only for a couple of minutes for most of the people but ultimately it proves to be a good game(even though i doubt that most of the time).It's not even worth doing a good review for such kind of games, Nintendo can't fool me with Kart & Smash Bros & Party & stuff like that.The only thing that is missing is a Mario Third Person Shooter & after that i could kiss him Good-Bye forever.
