My 27th review after the flat-out, worst game of all time, E.T.: The Extra Terrestrial for the Atari 2600.
Wow, I finally got this game and played it. This really has got to be one of the best games of all time. With new power-ups like Cloud Mario and Rock Mario and now you can ride on Yoshi with his power-ups like Blimp Yoshi, Bulb Yoshi, and Dash Yoshi. So amazing, I'm rating this game an A++!!! Here are the results:
Voice-acting 10/10: Same as the first!
Gameplay 10/10: Amazing that you can now play as Yoshi and you don't lose him if he touches water and he can last forever without having to eat any fruits. You can also play as Luigi as often as you like and want to. The level design is absolutely creative! One of the best level designs a video game could ever have throughout video game history! Whenever you are playing a mission, if you fail in a depending one, you lose a life. However, that opportunity is optional. Also we get the Spring Mushroom and the Star Ball levels from the first game, which are very uncontrollable, clumsy, and awkward, even though the Star Ball levels can be fun.
Graphics 10/10: So bright and cool!
Controls 10/10: Incredible Yoshi controls!
Sound/Music 10/10: It has all the music from classic Mario games.
Lasting Appeal 10/10: This game is stunning!
Overall, Super Mario Galaxy 2 is outstanding, stunning, amazing, incredible, exciting, thrilling, and one of the best games ever made just like the first one.
The Good:
-Awesome, butt-kicking boss fights
-Amazing soundtracks, even from the classics
-New power-ups makes this a great game
-Terrific, amazing level designs
-Cool graphics
-You can play as Yoshi, not to mention you won't lose him if he contacts water and he doesn't have to eat fruits in order to last forever
-You can also play as Luigi as often as you like
-This marks the first time a 3D Mario game gets a sequel
The Bad:
-The Spring Mushroom, which is an uncontrollably clumsy and awkward power-up from the first one, returns in the game
-Again, while the Star Ball levels can be fun, they can also be very clumsy and awkward just like in the first
-Failing a depending mission will cost a life just like in the Pinata racing missions, but fortunately they are optional
I finally got this game and I think this will be the Game Of The Year 2010! This 3D Mario game is the best out of them all. It's pure genius and it kicks butt! It's Mario in his exciting and thrilling adventure full of exciting thrills and fun. That's the end of my review! Good night everyone!
