@chubby170: I’d listen to more opinions. It’s, IMO, absolutely amazing. I recommend watching Tim Rogers’ “review” on the game to see why. The game’s slow pace makes it not for everyone.

@nsa_protocol44: Umm, why? I'm not the one acting offended by something that is clearly not offensive.

@neurogia: Again, are you being serious? Patronizing, condescending and unprofessional? He made a ridiculous claim and he called him out on it. End of. And you're not a customer, you're not purchasing...

@ronthallsballs: It's almost like RDR2 and F76 are, like, in different genres and with different gameplay systems.

@javelin10: You insinuated that there was something weird about the timing of the reviews. He gave a comical but light response to your question and you reply as if he somehow insulted you? Are you be...

@sellingthings: Hence why I said IMO. I'm glad people enjoyed UC4 as much as they did, I wish I was in that group. UC2 was magical so I really wanted UC4 to reach those heights.

@AzatiS: It's hard to diversify the core gameplay concepts of a team shooter - like how it's hard for any 2D platformer to be completely different from one another in its basest form. However, Overwat...

@AzatiS: The gameplay options are all in the team-oriented mechanics. Every match is different based on what heroes are in use and who's playing them. I like OW far more than TF2, particularly in thei...

Uncharted 4 was, IMO, not close to being the best game of the year. It's great but I wouldn't give it more than an 8. Doom, FFXV, Overwatch and Dark Souls III are to me far better contenders for GotY....

  • calvinsora posted a message on the post Orwell Review.

@Hodax: Not everything is getting an eight, just the majority of the last 10 games. Those games simply deserve an 8 according to the reviewers, it's utter chance. An 8 is only devalued if "average" ga...

  • calvinsora posted a message on the post Dark Souls 3: Ashes of Ariandel Review.

@Xanitra: Personally it's my favorite along with Dark Souls (though Bloodborne is my favorite From Software game overall). I find Dark Souls 2 to be the worst, IMO. I also don't really see how you cou...

@turianshepard: Not a problem, I think it's good to discuss these things from many angles. I do think Nier: Automata will be a very entertaining game, at least!

  • calvinsora posted a message on the post Nier: Automata Feels like a Platinum Games Classic.

@turianshepard: I never get bent out of shape about it. I can recognize exploitation without getting bothered by it. Like I mentioned above, this doesn't faze me or detract from the enjoyment I get fo...

@PS2fweak: It was a immature on my part saying that the character designers were in turn immature, I apologize for that. I tend to extrapolate my points when typing fast on my mobile. It doesn't actua...

@PS2fweak: Wow, thanks for a polite and well-argued reply. Genuinely. I understand your point. Personally, for instance, I find Bayonetta's design was appropriate for the context. Kudos.

@turianshepard: So scantily clad women are a form of artistic expression? It's pandering, nothing more. I love PG, and Bayo had a specific wardrobe for a reason and was never all that exploitative. Ca...

@turianshepard: You act as if this portrayal of characters is something of any artistic value. Here's hoping the character designers actually mature a bit and stop pandering to archaic, outdated expec...

@turianshepard: I love Platinum Games, I will buy the game. However, the point is still valid, considering we are in a comments section.

  • calvinsora posted a message on the post Nier: Automata Feels like a Platinum Games Classic.

@PS2fweak: It has nothing to do with insecurities or art. He's criticizing their portrayal of characters, not proposing restrictions. That's your interpretation and yours alone.

@putaspongeon: Nothing wrong with wanting non-exploitative representations of characters. Pointing that out doesn't ruin anything.
