Punish me more

If you're looking for that new bastard-hard game to get hopelessly addicted to, look no further than Super Hexagon. It's a simple game with 3 initial levels which, as you individually complete them, unlock an even harder version of themselves called Hyper Mode. Your goal in the game is to guide a small arrow through a series of visually perplexing walls and mazes that spin and pulse to the tune of techno music, until you reach the 60-second mark where a level is considered complete. Even the most basic level is called "Hard", with subsequent levels being "Harder", "Hardest", and even "Hardester" once you unlock the Hyper levels.

If this is any indication, this game is not for the faint of heart as the challenge can get mind-meltingly hard. Yet, when you first boot up the game and undoubtedly get put to shame a few times, sleep on it and you'll find that the game is indeed possible to beat. It takes some mental training and twitchy fingers, but the fun of it all will carry you until you're able to rise to the occasion. It's a blast to play and the kind of game you can quickly load, try your skills at for a few minutes, then leave for another time. Eventually you'll find that the easiest level you once thought unbeatable has become a cake walk compared to where you ended up. No doubt then, that Super Hexagon gives you an adrenaline rush like few things do, and for $3, it's much cheaper than skydiving.
