Streets Of Rage 1 and 3 were the worst in the series while part 2 was the best. Streets of Rage 2 did things the first and last games didn't do, and that was include an excellent soundtrack into the mix along with impressive levels. Although the part where Streets of Rage 2 fails is speed. The game is terribly slow compared to Part 1 and 3. For some reason you can't run. You select four characters. Max, Axel, Skate, And Blaze. Axel and Skate are possibly the best characters to play with. Max is the most powerful but is also the most slowest. Skate is faster, but he is the weakest. Axel is in between strong and fast, while Blaze is also on the average level as Axel.
There are a total of 8 stages to play through. 7 is the worst level out of all them because its a factory! Now how does that fit into the game???
Steets Of Rage 2 is allot better than all the Final Fight Games. The action is decent, simple, and easy to get use to. Its still one of the best beat em up games on a console.
As far as story line goes, Streets Of Rage 2 does have a story line. But I rather not get into it. I'm sure everyone here at gamespot has played SOR2 before. Enough to know what the game is all about.
