I've been missing out!
I've never played a Street Fighter game in my life but after playing this I've realised...
Street Fighter II is awesome and one of the BEST fighters ever!
The gameplay is simple as you basically just fight. In the single player mode you fight through about 10 opponents, and there is also a VS mode where you face a 2nd human player.
The controls are very basic (d-pad to move, 3 buttons to punch, 3 to kick) but doing different combinations executes special moves and combos as well as basic attacks.
The graphics are very good even though it was released about 14 years ago. Each of the characters and the backgrounds are nicely detailed and for the most part everything runs smooth. There is some slowdown though when you perform a big combo as there is a lot going on in the background.
The sound is very good with some decent music and effects. There is also a few voice samples.
Overall this is a great game and I wish I'd played it growing up. Oh well, I've got it now and I think it's awesome!!!
