Old school fighting at its finest.

The early 90's was a great time for fighting fans. Street Fighter II is a great example why.

Street Fighter 2 gives you 8 unique characters to choose from, most of whom come from unique countries. You select your character and face the other 7 opponents. After defeating all of them, you have to face 4 boss characters.

There is plenty of variety in the fighting. Every character has 3 punch and kick buttons, and a number of special moves including projectiles, uppercuts and even the ability to electrocute your opponents.

All special moves are easy and intuitive to pull off, making the fighting flow very well. After a certain amount of opponents, you are presented with a minigame of some sort. These minigames ask you to do somwthing like destroy a car or destroy a brick wall winning these within the time limit. Completing these tasks increases your game score.

Street Fighter is a visual marvel. The charactres have are all bright and colourful. The backgrounds are all very unique and clear. There really aren't many SNES games that look better then Street Fighter II.

Its audio holds up quite well aswell. Characters all have their own individual grunts. The music is nice to listen to. It all comes together very well to make the overall presentation top notch.

There simply aren't make gams better than Street Fighter II. The fighting is simply amazing, an tied with a great presenttion, this is a game that no one should miss.
