This is one huge reason the fighting genre in gaming has become so big.

When I first got this game as a kid I loved this game I just really enjoyed playing this game, but one thing honestly that shocked me with this game is that my sister actually loved this game even more then me and my sister hates video games, so for a casual gamer to pick up a fighting game full of combos and doesn't care for gaming in general and actually like it, let that tell you that this game is not only easy to pick up and play but also is fun for anyone to play.

So basically the premise of the game is not the story but yet what the whole game is based on, it is a selection of characters that want to be the best fighter in the world. Basically that's what the whole point of the game is, is to beat every character and you can progress from fighter to fighter but also to a higher difficulty and that's basically what the whole games single player experience is about, and you also can just play against each other.

Presentation: Every character has their own level, and each one is supposed to be based on where the character is from, for example Ken is from America so his level is based out of the US, and each characters level represents this so well and makes the game fun to play but also more appealing to look at. There isn't a whole lot that you can judge when it comes to presentation on this game, but for the look the game has, it does add some more appeal to game.

Gameplay: Street fighter is what you would expect a fighting game, what you see is what you get, and what you get is one of the best fighting games of its generations if not the best. It's a pretty simple game to pick up and play most of the combos are easy to do and It doesn't matter what type of gamer you are you will definitely enjoy the simple combat to the game. Each character have many differences and have very different special moves like for example Ryu has his Haduken while Guile has his sonic boom, each move is unique and will make everyone who plays have a favorite character. There is not a whole lot you can say when it comes to street fighter but all I can really truly express is that if you play this game with friends you will have many, many hours of fun, it's just a really simple fun game to pick up to play.

There is a campaign mode to this game and basically you pick a character to fight all the other characters and 3 other characters that are not playable in the game but would later be added into later installments. The campaigns fun and can help you get better because you can make your opponents harder as you get better by putting them at a higher level in the options menu.

Overall Street Fighter set the bar for fighting games, even when you talk about fighting games today most people will reference Street Fighter at some time in the conversation. Street Fighter for me is a game you pick up when you are looking to just have fun. Sure maybe it's not the best fighting game ever made but it's always fun to pick up.
