This game could have been A LOT better.
Street Fighter Aplpha 2 welcomes new additions to the power gauge, and a comple of added characters, as well as a new concept. However the game is the worst in the Alpha series and one of the worst Street Fighter series overall.
The game is set on turbo. You will notice this when you play. There may be a way to take it off but none I have seen.
This makes fights a pain because Alpha 2's biggest issue is hit boxes. They are not even and all over the place. Enemies don't even need you to graze them. And some attacks that clealry should hit do not. This goes both ways, but add the terrible AI which is cheap in Alpha 2 and you wiill realize how bad the game is.
The further you go along the more useless your character is the the CPU even if you know what your doing and are a street fighter veteran. Playing Alpha one and being good at it to be honest would actually make you worse at tthis game and you will have trouble getting use to it.
The sountrack is ok, but not as good as the first Alpha, and the animations seem to be recyled and in some cases very shallow. This game seems very rushed to me. I would say to play one or skip to 3.
