Totally awesome! Made gaming so much more worth it!
Starcraft has it all. A great singleplayer story, great multiplayer opportunities, three different species with even benefits, a great campaign editor, cool background music, good RTS graphics and much more. Simply a lot of fun.
The singleplayer story is great to follow. You play different roles depending on which of the three campaigns you are currently playing. But all of them goes down the same time line to end where the expansion later takes of. The main characters are well made with their different views of the world and there are even some humour. The movies comes as great pauses between some of the missions.
The game really hit it of as a multiplayer game all over the world. Mostly so in South Korea. And there is good reasons to play this game with others. There are so many different units and abilities that one game isn't like the other. Much depends on the map though. One unit may harm one other unit much but a different kind of unit little – therefor you need to be sure of what you'r enemy is building in his army.
Why I didn't decide to give this game 10 in score is because when playing multiplayer it's abit too hard to play the Terran race without the medics that came in the expansion. The small Terran units are to vulnerable without medics so you always need to combine many different units to make the amount of damage that you'll need to you'r enemies. Playing Zerg or the Protoss race makes the game a bit easier most of the time in multiplayer, which makes the decision to play a random selected race a bit too risky.
