Sticks to the original, good graphics

This is a like it hate it game. The people who like the game are rts fans and people who bought what they were expecting: a starcraft game. Then there are those who didn't like the game because they bought the game because they thought it was a shooter (really?) and those who thought that there would a more "changes in gameplay." They say they want originality, but its a sequel, you can't really change the mechanic too much or the game loses its identity. Seriously, there are some people who complain when a game changes too much, and complain when there isn't enough change. Starcraft 2 is a starcraft game because its STARCRAFT!! no another game! If you thought you were buying something else, that's too bad mate!

The campaign is great, and to get all of the achievements is a challenge. Yes it is extremely easy when you play it on easy. Try playing on insane (i'm referring to the d-bags who complained about how easy this game was) and you will get owned. Story line was captivating with a new type of point and click adventure between missions which was a fun break. Missions can be played at anytime and the upgrading system was great.

Multiplayer is an amazing experience and much more organized than the first. Losing a custom game won't affect you rank in your league matches which is good. The players online are challenging, and i won't lie, there are some idiots, but not enough to ruin the experience.

Custom games make starcraft worth much more than 60 bucks. Its like buying thousands of games within a game. I won't explain it in my review because it would take alot of time, but there are old BW maps like evolves, and new maps like infested arena.

The only con i have is the art style. In my opinion, while the graphics are amazing...there's just something wrong. This game kind of lost the sci-fi thrill i got from playing the first game, and that is partially because sc1 just had classic graphics. But the think i despise Blizzard for is that they used the WoW art directors and artists to create this game. If you pay attention you will notice that there are many aspects that mirror WoW style art. Many of the units lean toward more of a fantasy style rather than sci fi. The stalker is a great example, looks like a unit straight out of WoW3!

My bottom line is that any true Starcraft or Blizzard fan will love this game and i recommend it to any RTS fan. The idiots who expected something other than a Starcraft game... i don't know what to tell you. I'm not saying buy it, but if you have any love for Starcraft or RTS games, you should consider it.
