Like it's predecessor's Jedi Academy manages to stay fun for the entire game with the tremendous multiplayer thrown in.

User Rating: 9.3 | Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy XBOX
Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy is not that different from it's predecessors. However some things have been added and removed to make the game even better. You'll discover them almost immediately if you have played the prequels.

Gameplay - The single-player game has switched from a continuous adventure format, to a modular mission-based format. Instead of moving linearly from one level to the next, players are able to choose from a selection of different missions.

After the completion of each mission, the player's weapons and health are reset back to default levels. Additionally, the game no longer features an inventory system. In single-player, lightsaber combat is somewhat easier than it was in Jedi Outcast. Enemy lightsaber attacks do much less damage, and on the default difficulty setting enemies are somewhat worse at blocking and attacking than they were in Jedi Outcast. Alternatively, combat against non-Jedi enemies has become somewhat more challenging. The player's ability to automatically block enemy fire with their lightsaber has been reduced significantly, making enemy blaster attacks more of a credible threat. The game also features a variety of new opponents, including assassin droids and power-armored stormtroopers, who seem specifically designed for combat against Jedi. The multiplayer is the highest point of the gameplay department offering tons and tons fun with either by yourself and AI or you can go online and play with friends.

Your character, Jaden, can be male or female and is customizable. For example, you can choose from several lightsaber colors and hilt types as well as from several species: Twi'lek female Kel Dor male Human male or female Zabrak female Rodian male New Force Powers in single player; Force Absorb, Force Protect, Force Drain, and Force Rage (these powers were available in Jedi Outcast's multiplayer game, but not in the single player game.) New lightsaber combat moves including katas, wall gripping, and acrobatics.Four new weapons: DL-44 Blaster Pistol and Stouker Concussion Rifle, Saberstaff (double bladed lightsaber) and dual sabers. A variety of saber hilts are also available.

Graphics - The game is top notch in this department. The Levels are highly detailed and look almost real and the characters are also well done. A few mishaps here and there but totally forgivable due to the amound of stuff the game has.

The looks of the lightsaber when activated seem to match like the ones we see in the movies along with the flashes that come when sabers lock with another or deflect a blaster.

Sound - Well the original trilogy soundtrack comes to the game made by the famous John Williams back in the days of the old trilogy. Depending on your situation the music changes.

Say for example your in a quiet spot with no enemies around or an enemy has not spotted you yet, the music will be a calm or suspenseful type, however should you engage in combat the music changes to fit the level and the intensity of the fight.

As I mentioned earlier the lightsaber's have a realistic look to them, and so does the sound. Every special effect used in the movies are transferred to the game making it sound Superb. You'll hear everything from the lightsaber hum to the shots of blaster fire.

The Voice Actors do a great job as the characters. The Top acting however is for the main character Jaden Korr. Depending in it's a male or female. Either way it's very well done.

Value - Well the game is worth a buy for how much it has. Both the Quality and Quantity of the game are pretty good I recommend this game if you want some good multiplayer or if you a fan of Star Wars.

Tilt - Well I can just say that this game is very close to being perfect but still a fun experience. As I said before I recommend the game for the two reasons stated above.
