If you've ever played the Jedi Knight series before, then you know how much fun wielding a lightsaber can be. This is by far the best version of the series. In my opinion, it was worth paying $50 just for the new saber types. Those include the dual sabers, staff saber, and the old stand-by, the single lightsaber. The missions this time around seem to give you more choice. They're also very easy. Which I like, because I can't stand incredibly difficult games. For me, this game was all about the multiplayer. So far, it keeps up with my standards, but I still end up with the same complaint I had in Jedi Outcast. Some of the maps in FreeForAll, are just too darn huge. I really want to see recreations of some of the famous "set-ups" in the original trilogy like you did in "The Mysteries Of the Sith." Another thing that is quite noticable about FreeForAll, is that there is only 5 maps. I have heard that there are some rumors of "unlockables" in the game like famous characters, maps, etc. So far, I have not come across these. The addition of the Power Duels is very cool. In this mode you can have 2 jedi versus 1 more powerful jedi. It uses all the same maps found in the "Duel" mode. I was very disappointed to find out that you can't play the "Seige" mode, unless you're playing online. I don't have, nor do I want XBL. So that option I couldn't test. For the most part, all the maps work really well. Much better than Jedi Outcast. Some famous characters are in the game from the start like: Chewbacca, Lando, Luke, and one of my favorites: Boba Fett. The gameplay is spectacular. Jedi Outcast was no where near as fluid as this game. You don't have the nasty framerate you had in Jedi Outcast, or those dark ugly spots in the graphics. I think the only real bad thing you could say about this game are the cutscenes. The graphics from the cutscenes are horrid. They look like a triple-A game from 4 years ago. However, it is very easy to get passed that. Hopefully they're some unlockables in the game, as for now that is unknown. I give the replay value a 9. Only because there was only 5 maps available for FFA. Now if there was unlockables of more maps, hilts, characters, etc. Then that would change the value score to a 10.
