I started playing SWG in Beta 3 in May of 2003. Already a huge Star Wars fan and playing all the games Star Wars related, I was very excited to finally get to play. It took me a couple of days to get comfortable and get used to how things were (I was still very new to MMOs). Once I got the basics down I was sure hooked, I couldn't stop playing. That entire summer was nothing but SWG. There was so much to do, so many places to visit, and so many classes to be. I'm one of those people that likes to try everything so I crafted, hunted, and pvp'd. There was so much player content, so many guilds, and people to hunt/quest with. I spent many nights playing past sunrise because there was so much to do. Being a Star Wars fan I loved the atmosphere, I felt like I was actually in the Star Wars universe with all the planets, npcs, music, sounds, etc. I played until 2005, the first combat upgrade wasn't too bad, you just had to get used to it. However when the second combat upgrade came along, I left before it was released on the public servers. Was such a shame because the game still had some potential left until that second combat upgrade. To this day there is no game that can match the perfect unique crafting system and class choice that SWG had.
