Great Flying Game soon becomes boring and dull

The game kicks off with stunning graphics for the entrance screen and video shots - thats when the graphics finish taking your breath away.

Once you've watched the intro', you can get straigh into flying the craft. Instantly you will notice how poor the graphics are, extremely blocky and they use about 10 colours off the spectrum.

The game is very kind to as it eases you into the controlls and gives you simple missions. The craft is very easy to fly. What are sometimes tricky tasks on other flight games are simple here - so when it comes to landing the craft (docking) into the mother ship, you can fly in a top speed and not die - which would be a terrible way to end a mission.

Soon you realise ways to get upgrades for your craft are to collect crystals. These are realease into the sky when you shoot objects on the ground or in the sky. A pain staking task of figuring out the colour order in which to collect these crystals, will then allow you to aquire different upgrades: power, shiled, firing pattern, weapons etc etc etc....... yawn.

Now infact, the game maps are really quite big. And when you reach the edge, it simply warps you onto the otherside, say from west to east.

Shooting stuff to collect crystals gets boring. The missions are not enough to keep you occupied either. Many are to blow up ground stations - hold on, havn't i just been doing that? Then some are set in space -- no, not space, lots of white dots to depict stars . The air to air combat is ok, the AI is nothing special though and with the right craft it becomes easy pickings.

The game jsut gets harder by adding more gorund to air missiles to take you down; in the ned you try picking them off from a great distance.

An incredibly poor idea, poor graphics, but nice smooth gameplay. Just to barely mention - the sounds tracks soon start to send you asleep.
