I've played fighting games before, but this is great!

Soul Calibur has to be one of the greatest fighting series of all time (Aside from Smash Bros. of course). With superb gameplay, great controls, and amazing sound, it truly is a masterpiece. The control scheme allows for 3 different types of attacks; vertical, horizontal, and kicks, which give you the chance to make your own fighting style. You are also capable of pulling of some powerful combos, and you can add more damage by using the Soul Charge feature. There are many modes to choose from, including Weapon Master (Story Mode), 2p Battles, Survival, Team Battles, Practice, and much more. In all there is 23 characters, or 24 if you count random:) Each character has their own individual fighting styles and abilities, giving a wide variety to choose from. Also, 19 of the 23 characters have 11 different weapons to choose from. From legendary, to joke weapons, you have many possibilities.Each version also has a unique guest character; Heihachi (PS2), Link (GC), and Spawn (XBOX). And finally with superb graphics, great sound, and detailed levels, you'll feel like you're right in the action. Overall, I think it's a great game, and recommend it to any fighting game fan. 8.5/10
