It was actually one of my first sonic games I have finished. It revolves around destroying foes and freeing the birds - flickies. The controls are a bit difficult to master at first but you'll get hang of it after the first zone. Soundtrack is just too good (especially the credits) and graphics are pretty good for the system and they look fresh and original even today. The bonus stages are fun too, most similar to S2's bonus stages, but with no itchy corners. Difficulty is just alright, but I find some levels easy as pie, especially those lava levels where you can just grab a fire shield and that makes it hell lot easier. There are also numerous "secret" areas, where you can get lives, power-ups and so-on. The boss fights (including the final one) are easy overall, but there are some tough cakes, like the volcano zone one. The game play isn't that fast-paced as in other games from the series, but overall S3D offers great experience and fun.
