Socom came out in 2001 and It was one of the first games i bought for my PS2. And is still one of my personnal favorites. Even though a bunch of other better shooters invloving war have come out, SOCOM still remains my favorite.
The graphics are pretty good but arent great. The soldiers faces look pretty bad.
And the guns dont look real. (they actually look kind of deformed!). The foilage and trees and jungle type setting's in the game are where the game's graphics come to life! The tree's and grass look great, The sound of birds and exotic animals are a nice touch also.
The sound is pretty good, the sound of the guns is amazing! The voice actors of the 4 soldiers and the other character's is really good.
The gameplay is really good. this game has a mix of stealth and action which is a really good thing to have in games like this. The music hypes up when a battle starts. And calms down when eveything is quiet again.
Overall SOCOM is a great shooter that is still my favorite shooter to this day!
