An interesting idea

In all, I really appreciate what Sniper Elite for the Xbox tried to do, it just failed miserably. You see what the guys over at Namco tried to do is take one of the most exciting elements of a World War Two shooter which is sniping and try to make its own game out of it. This excited me because sniping hasn't been as popular lately as it was in recent World War Two games. Right away Sniper Elite throws a curve ball at you, this time around you are a German sniper in Berlin taking on the Russians, now being able to play on the German side of things in a game with an actuall story and not just bot battles is something quite rare. This is a very novel concpet. Its just too bad that it fails in almost every way possible, with blah graphics, clunky controls, and a quite boring story mode filled with objectives that are in many ways meaningless not to mention you only kill about ten guys in the first mission which is not a very good first impression. Plus the enemies have little tags over their heads telling you which side the AI is on. This takes away from the experience as well. There is a multiplayer co-op but that game is just about as boring as the single player, unless you and your friend like to play the sniper role, than you might find just a little bit of fun in this game. Not to mention that you are an American but you forget about it since you are killing the Russians and not Germans some of the time.
