SmashTV After Being Forgotten For a Decade is Still A Smash!!!

User Rating: 8.5 | Smash T.V. X360
I had this classic on my NES console as a kid, not only is it an addictive, co-op friendly experience its got a storyline influenced by the Stephen King classic The Running Man. As a kid i could never get enough of the challenging fun of this top-down shooter, you've got a very very wide range of enemies to shoot at, many of which can pose serious threats if not dealt with quickly.

The Plot: The near future;humanity has grown tired of our boring everyday lives being so filled with happyness and order.... the solution? SMASH TV a new gameshow in which contestants risk life and limb to gain fortunes and ultimately their very survival. Personally a solid silver VCR would not be worth my life... but i'm sure some guy in a ghetto somewhere wants one that bad. Anyways, so your rigged up in a SMASH TV uniform (Cough RUNNING MAN Cough) and lead into the maze-like levels of smash tv.

THis game has alot going for it... it always had since the days i played it on NES, this truly is a fun treat for both gaming veterans and newbs alike. The enemies range from Laser beam firing orbs, massive waves of brutes wielding large baseball bats, deadly cobras, half human half tank beast's, suicide bombers, Clouds of mysteriously dangerous red dots.... and many many more await. Boss battles are another thing Smash TV has going for it... anyone who knows me can tell you a charish a good, challenging and creative boss battle and this game delivers.

To those who enjoyed the classic SMASH TV on their Nintendo Entertainment System, but are worried that the steep difficulty and old-school graphics will tarnish their memories FEAR NOT MY FRIENDS. SMASH TV is presented here in some really badass form i'd never seen before... a completely overhauled and enhanced graphics version that really really hits the spot! Aswell the option for "Free Play" (Unlimited credits for those of you too young to know what free play is) really makes this feel complete as making it through on credits is a hell of a challenge.

This is the definitive version of a brilliant game!!!
