Flat out FUN!
Pros:
1. You are given a MASSIVE city to do what you will with, and there are amazing skate spots to be found everywhere.
2. The graphics are actually pretty good, and thats a refreshing bonus to a game like this. On a scale of 1 to 10, i give the graphics an 8. The marble plazas and city textures are for the most part incredible, but character models and cars could have been better.
3. Customizing your character is quite fun, from your appearance to skate style, you will enjoy creating the skate 2 version of yourself.
4. The story in terms of dialogue and theme is just ok, but the story mode in which you complete challenges and unlock various aspects of the game is highly addictive and requires skill.
5. GAMEPLAY is king of this mountain, when it comes down to it, nothing else matters besides getting on your board and ripping the city to shreds. As i said earlier, it actually requires skill to execute precise tricks in the manner of which you want to do so. Anyone can mindlessly flip into a grind and flip out, but it takes a PRO to bust out a 360 flip nose blunt on cue. My favorite part of Skate 2 is doing realistic tricks, i have spent hours just tearing up a pool, doing smooth tail slide reverts and all sorts of lip tricks, truly fun.
CONS:
1. You will notice a few frame rate problems, and online play can be very laggy at times.
2. the narrators voice is extremely annoying, but you can turn that off.
3. You may get a little angry after failing to do a trick for the 50th time in a row, but as i said you need SKILL.
OK well thats pretty much it, OH and i almost forgot the endless fun of hurling your skater off of 1,000 foot damns, and flat out just destroying your guy or girl to get hall of meat challenges...ok im out.
