The first time I played the first skate, was at my friend's house. I never tried it before, but when I did, I was blown away. These new "flick-it" controls were so new to me. Being a big fan of the tony hawk series, this felt more like skateboarding. Rather than doing insane 80 trick combos, skate made it like real skateboarding. Witch of corse is impossible to do 80 trick combos in real life.

The experience at my friend's house was the only time I played the first skate. But a few weeks later, when I heard there was going to be a skate 2, I couldn't wight.

So when I first played it, I realized there were WAY more tricks than the first one. Foot plants, the hippy jump, and the no comply to name a few. Also, San Van has gone under a huge make over. Overall huge improvements have been made.

I never got to try the career mode in the first skate, but my friend told me there were a lot of SKATE challenges, where you hade to mach. the trick of the AI guy. And it was not so stories based, not even a loose story. Skate two, adds a story, and the challenges are more in depth. Also, there are few skate ones. Sure there is the "Throw down" mode, but you don't have to do them.

There are corks though. The game has So meany glitches that it's not even funny. Some are annoying, but some are fun. Also, the off board controls suck. It's hard to walk straight and it hardly works well at all, but it works enough that it is barley passable.

Skate 2 is my most played game on my ps3, and is my favorite buy far. Besides some tech issues, Skate 2 is something skateboarding game fans should absolutely check out.
