One of the most frightening things I have experienced. An absolutely must buy for horror fans. You will be scared.

Siren is a confusing, yet somehow great, game. You jump between characters and different points of time, and although it maybe confusing, it still, somehow, does a good job of giving you story. Being the scariest game I have ever played, this game deserves kudos as this reviewer is not spooked easily. The eerie old-movie-like visuals, the creepy sounds, the near zero visibility and the lack of a weapon most of the game makes this a true survival horror video game. This is one of the games you hate because it is so scary. It makes you not want to play. Also the punishing difficulties can sometimes hinder your hopes of winning. But all of this, to me, comes together for one of the best survival horror experiences in my life. Being a huge zombie fan, I started playing this game thinking it was going to be a rip off of silent hill or resident evil, and what I got was a shock to me.

With a little work on the organization of the story, this game could have went noticed by the public. Its deeply disturbing visuals and sound effects are things that other survival horror games should learn from, and ultimately make a game that is scarier and easier to follow than this. This is a game not to be played alone in the dark. It will mess with your head. It will make you fear the night.

WARNING: This game is not for the light of heart.
