Good, not SILENT HILL 2 good, but good.

I've been waiting for this game for a LONG time! I always felt like my PSP
wouldn't be complete without a Silent Hill title. As soon as as I heard about this one I was like: "I gotta get that game!" From the beginning the early pictures made the game look like some Resident Evil 4 wannabe. But when I played it, it was far from it. The new Silent Hill crew did a pretty good job on this game. The riddles are still there, as well as the atmoshere.
The story was very interesting, from the looks of the approach-you would assume that the crew was inspired by SH2, that's a good thing in my book.

The places were very beautiful to look at, the shadowing was almost PS2-worthy. The character models on the other hand were a different story. Oddly enough, they looked like a cross between Silent Hill 1 and 2, its like the designers intended to do that on purpose, so you have an excuse to call it Silent Hill 1/2. Because it sure as hell isn't for the story, basically if you played all the past Silent Hills, there is nothing new you learn about the story that you didn't know before. The voice acting is not very good either, somehow I don't think that they used motion capture acting like Team SILENT did.

You'll find your way around this game pretty easily, the map has been dumbed down to the point where even a mentally challenged monkey could find its way out. The puzzles have been dumbed down pretty badly too. There's also been a change in difficulty, there is no such thing as HARD mode or EASY. But this is still good for what it is, I'd say that this is number 3 in my top Silent Hill titles. It goes SH2, SH3, SH Origins. I give this an 8.0 out of 10, looking foward to SH5.
