The riddles are not brain-breakers and the controls are just fine, though the combat system can be frustrating some times making the game more challenging.
The story is not easy, yet not hard to understand, and once you finish the game at the 5 to 6 hours, you unlock extra weapons, items and costumes giving to the game a fine replay value.
This game must be played alone in the dark, with headphones to feel the real Silent Hill experience.
Silent Hill: Origins runs at 60fps, though with the CPU clock speed running at 222MHz of 333MHz and the GPU clocked at 111MHz of 166MHz, the frame-rate can decrease 10 to 25fps when there´s many objects, shadows and enemies around. The shadows has a lot of aliasing but it´s easily to forgive because it has lots of impressive effects such as the light of the flashlight which is better than any other Silent Hill game.
If you are looking for a hand-held game with strong graphical details, or a good horror game, Silent Hill: Origins is a must play.
