Ever heard of Resident Evil? Well...thats what basically what this game is. Only on steriods.

Does that mean its bad? No. In fact, i think the creator of Resident Evil had something to do with this. Suda 51, the mastermind behind Killer7 and No More Heroes, returns with another game called 'Shadows of the Damned'.

You play as Garcia Hotspur, and he finds that his girl, Paula has hanged herself. At that moment, her eyes flash open and undead demons begin to spring from her back. Its up to Garcia to go into the underworld and rescue her.

Garcia is a badass! He calls his pistol a Boner....how can that not be bad-ass? ~Nomminee for Best New Character of 2011~

Shadows of the Damned uses a Resident Evil 4 like control scheme in which Garcia can move while aiming and shooting. Garcia has a sidekick named Johnson, a skull-headed demon that can transform into weapons including revolvers, machine guns, and shotguns, as well as items like a torch and a motorcycle.

When you have Suda 51 in the mix, you expect a hilliarious thrillride from beginning to end. Well....yes, the game is funny, and fun to play too. The graphics are beautiful, and teh game does run smooth, one problem is that the animation of the character can look a little stiff.

The game is lengthy, i beaten it in 10 hours. Some of the drawbacks in this game is that it can be rather difficult, expectually when your in a section where you need to get out of, or you'll die. Also, the game can be linear. Like, it would've been nice to explore more around Hell, but its Hell....so.....nevermind.

But the game is great. Fun to play. And a kickass thrillride from beginning to end. If your a fan of Resident Evil, survival horrer games, or Suda 51's work,
Shadows of the Damned is easy to reccomend.
