Shadow takes the style of Sonic to a new level, while still maintaining the original's charm.

User Rating: 9.1 | Shadow the Hedgehog (Player's Choice) GC
Gameplay - It's the classic Sonic Adventure style here, but with new twists. Shadow can get into vehicles to run over enemies, he has guns (which handle surprisingly well), he can punch, and he has his new powers. First, the guns. The guns include pistols, submachine guns, and rifles. They aim and control just fine. You automatically pick one up when you walk over it, or you can press the X button to swap one on the ground with your current one. Oh, and there are swords, branches, and other CQC weapons as well. As for the vehicles, uhh...there's a jeep, a motorcycle, a flying creature, and a red disk...thingy. His new powers, well, here's the twist. You have a red bar, and a blue bar. Killing the bad guys fills up the blue bar, which, when full, grants you Chaos Control. It let's you shoot through the stage, literally. Killing the good guys fills up the red bar, which grants you Chaos Blast when full. It destroys everything instantly. Choosing which side will affect the route in the game, and considering there's 10 different endings, it adds alot of replay value. Oh, and there's mutliplayer for up to 2 people.

Sound/Music - You have to love the ring sounds, the voice acting can be iffy at times, but Shadow himself fits. The music also sounds very nice.

Graphics - The CG cutscenes are amazing, the in-game graphics aren't bad either, and the stages look amazing.

Overall - 9.1/10.0

A good buy for Sonic fans, and for people who want a good platformer. The multiplayer certainly won't replace the Super Smash Bros and Halo or our age, but it's pretty enjoyable, and the story is surprisingly good.
