Awesome fun from the start to the very end !
I must admit that I haven't been disappointed at all with SR 2. The activities are still as much fun as they were before and some new activities like 'Fuzz' and 'Trail Blazing' are simply awesome. One may end up just playing these activities instead of the main story ... it's just that addictive !
Now coming to the main story : well it's just like Saints Row 1. There are 3 gangs present in the city of Stillwater and the Saints are trying to regain control of the whole city by destroying the other gangs. The missions are very varied and some of the cutscenes are really nicely done. Each gang has a completely unique storyline and the missions are as fun as ever. One can never get bored or complain about repetitiveness as far as this game is concerned !
One huge disappointment for me is the graphics for Saints Row 2. The game just looks like Saints Row 1 with worse frame rates and will definitely not appeal to people who pay a lot of detail to the visuals of the game.
The gameplay is pretty satisfying though and the tagline mentioned at the back of the game's box which says 'Release your inner sinner' is totally justified for this game ! You can do whatever the hell you want and just have a good laugh at everything.
The story is basic and not at all complex. There is even a secret mission in this game which gives closure to the bizzare ending of the first game.
Overall I highly recommend this game to anyone who played and liked Saints Row 1. For those who have never tried Saints Row 1, I suggest you'll to rent this game and try it out for yourself. If you'll can look past the bad graphics and some glitches here and there, you'll will definitely enjoy the game.
