The game has many upgrades, but it just can't reach the status of the RollerCoaster Tycoons before it.

Atari and Frontier have expanded the RollerCoaster Tycoon series with the latest installment of the popular theme park management game, RollerCoaster Tycoon 3. As we all know, the hardest thing a game company can face is the sequel to an awesome game. This one, however, is almost a success. It's a little more for hardcore gamers, but it has some serious turn-offs for this genre. In sandbox mode, where you can build a park of your dreams, the visitors, known throughout the game as Peeps, will often be all over your coaster one second, then ignore it completely the next. This, and the fact that they can melt through the buildings and seats is pretty off-putting.

The good is that they have a fireworks editor where you can design and show off homemade firework shows. This works fine, but other things can distract you from things that are actually worth it. Things like crashes when loading a game when using it on the bare minimum of requirements and guests acting strange, besides the cold-shoulder-one-minute-to-the-coaster-one-second thing.

The most noticeable difference is the graphics. All-new 3D graphics for the first time ever. These are okay, but the music selection for the menu screens needs to go to pop or something besides its new age guitar music. It just doesn't fit the game's theme properly. In all, it had potential, but failed due to bugs and errors in the game system. Its like it isn't finished. Let's all hope the next one, if there is one, is finer tweaked than this.
