I loved the fighting - hard, especially at first, but very satisfying. The interface with NPC's is sophisticated and realistic. You have several career path choices - something to suit all temperaments. I know - all the women are built like brick sh**houses, but that's an acceptable oddity. The monsters are fun, and it's very challenging figuring out each of their attacking techniques and devising ways to take advantage of their weaknesses. Such a big world, and on into the game you acquire the ability to skip around at will, so that it's big but not unwieldy. The music is good, the voices are good, and the scenery is good enough. You can try to climb anything. Sometimes you even succeed! Exploring at night is a treat. You can walk right off the side of a cliff (hope you save a lot). That's about it. Give it a try!
