The lack of Scares, Sense of Adventure, and Puzzles is what makes this game less than Perfect.

User Rating: 9.4 | Resident Evil 4 PS2
Resident Evil 4 for the PS2 isn't the same old Resident Evil. It's a whole new type of Resident Evil. In this game your Leon Kennedy and you go on a solo mission to rescue the presidents daughter, yeah, real original right? well the plot develops later in the game so do judge to quickly. The gameplay is in 3rd person, close up camera, it makes the game feel more realalistic, and almost like your in the game. When you aim your gun, you go over the shoulder camera and it's well done. Although this is a whole new type of Resident Evil it still stays true to its roots, you have limited space in your inventory, theres still herbs, and the aiming is simmilar, you cant move while aiming. The manual aiming causes you to shoot at different body parts, unlike in previous Resident Evils. Your not fighting zombies exactly, their more like humans, yet with an eerie feel to it. Almost like zombies, but much faster and able to use tools and weapons.

Gameplay: 10/10 The new gameplay to the series is amazing, although it's more of a shooter and less of an adventure horror as I would have liked, it's still great and well done.

Graphics: 9/10 The graphics are good for the PS2, although theres pre-rendered cutscenes, who really gives a ****?

Sound: 9/10 The music is like nothing else before, the gun-shots are all realalistic aswell as the reloading sounds and the enemies voices are realalistic, but some noises are re-used alot.

Value: 8/10 This game has some re-play value, as in there are reasons to play through it again, and I probbably will, it's just that you need about a 2-week break from it before I do.

Bottom Line.
Get this game for your collection and you will be glad, this game is simply a classic.
