Rayman's best adventure yet.

User Rating: 10 | Rayman 2: The Great Escape N64
Rayman 2: The Great Escape is yet another reason why the N64 is still my favorite system. Rayman, Ubisoft's disembodied hero, is finally put in full 3-D here and this may perhaps be his very best adventure yet. You set off on a quest to save your friend Globox as well as recover four ancient masks to defeat the evil Razorbeard and his robot pirates. I pretty much love nearly every single aspect about this game. From it's quirky characters, wonderful graphics, and witty humor, it's hard not to fall in love with this game. Most fans of Mario 64 and Banjo-Kazooie will not be dissapointed here.

PROS:
-Some of the best graphics that the system has to offer. Everything is nicely detailed, colorful, and runs at a smooth framerate. The Expansion Pak helps bump up the performance.
-Nice animation
-Wonderful music and sound.
-Great sense of humor
-Charming gibberish and text diolouge
-Good story with likeable characters
-Responsive, easy to master control
-Still provides a challenge

CONS:
-Camera can be a minor inconvenience
-Ly is constantly giving me useless advice. This usually only occurs after dieing.

Overall, this superior sequel is another excellent addition to your N64 library and still remains as on of the best platformers I have ever played. Definitely a must-have. If you don't have a N64, but do manage to own a Dreamcast or Playstation, then get them.
