User Rating: 9.8 | Ratchet & Clank 2: Locked and Loaded PS2
I really enjoyed the first Ratchet so it was no surpise I'd like this one, too. But I didn't have any idea just HOW MUCH I'd love this game. At first I was having a sense of deja vu but I quickly found out just how different the game is from it's predecessor. The evolving system of both Ratchet and the weapons really makes me use all the various weapons. In the last game, I stuck to a few of my favorites and ignored the fringe weapons...but this time around, I've giving each one it's fair shot. Different enemies require different strategies and part of the fun is just figuring out which weapon kicks which badguy's @ss the best. I love the MaxiGames... I've made it a goal of mine (as in the previous Ratchet) to figure out all the Skill Points AND complete all the challenges. The arena stuff is much more fun than I imagined when I read about it. Yeah, the graphics are about the same as the original (with a few tweaks and bigger BOOMS) and the music feels recycled, but who cares?! The gameplay rocks! Seriously. I love this game and I'm telling everyone about it. If you even remotely like platform games (which I feel is sadly a dying breed) you gotta pick this one up. I see myself playing through it all the way twice in a row (as I did before) and having just as much fun the 2nd time around. Seriously, this is NOT a game to miss!
