How can it be called anything besides fun?

Radiata Stories is one of the best RPG's I've played in quite awhile, and for good reason. Its comical graphics, cutscenes, and overall atmosphere are extremely refreshing, especially for an RPG. Even at the games deepest points, they still manage to throw some humor in. However, don't let that fool you. Despite the game's air of humor, it's still serious enough to keep the key points flow extremely well throughout the engaging storyline.
About halfway through the game the storyline splits, so after you finish one storyline, you can go back and see the other part. Overall, the game will take you around 15 hours to finish the first time, and will give you about 6 more hours after you do the second timeline. Not to mention all the time it'll take you to explore the vast world, level up, and recruit more than 150 character you can use in battle.
I'd have to say that one of the game's weaker points is its battles. There are quite a few weapons, armor, and accessories you can equip, but even that doesn't help with the diversity of the battles. As you level up, you learn new ways to attack. For example, you start out knowing how to swing left and right. Eventually you learn how to lunge at your opponent. You decide the order you attack in yourself, and during battle, attack by repeatedly pressing the circle button. Other than that all you really have are volty attacks, which, depending on what kind of weapon you are currently wielding, may launch a fast slightly stronger attack, or maybe a few consecutive attacks that take a second to charge up. Volty attacks are executed by way of the volty gauge, which is brought up by 1 point every time you or your party members hit an opponent. Each volty attack costs 10 points, and is executed by pressing the square button. However, if you let your gauge get to 100 and consecutively press circle and square, you unleash an incredibly powerful volty attack, that is, if you have unlocked it.
I highly recommend Radiata Stories to anyone looking for an enjoyable RPG experience.
