Humor and Lore More Than Make Up For Minor Nitpicks

User Rating: 8 | Projekt: Passion - Season 1 LNX

Projekt Passion certainly checked a lot of my boxes in Season One. I love sci-fi games because you can be very creative with different planets; races; and lore which it certainly was on all accounts. The voice acting was decent but as usual I am not always a fan of partial voice acting. I find it a bit jarring when the game goes from voice acting to silent and back again as some parts have it and others don’t. The lewd scenes and animations overall were good although incorporating a little more variety and/or choice into them would have made them better, The models and other visuals were also well done. The only nitpick I have is when in a crowded area a couple times the room was filled with silhouettes which I’m never a fan of as it looks cheap. The music was good although could be a bit repetitive at times. The humor was fantastic and a highlight of the game. I could go for a whole game of just Frans and Sandra interacting. It even made me forgive it for having faux choices. I usually despise faux choices where you get two options and one leads to a game over death so really you only have one choice but the game over deaths were so funny I ended up seeking them out. They’re also optional so kudos to the developer for giving the choice up to the player. The cut scenes were also well done and gave the game some variety. The story was interesting and made me want more although in Season One not to much is actually revealed aside from side stories and back story.

I played Projekt Passion on Linux. It never crashed and I didn’t notice any spelling errors. You can manually save any time you want and there are fifty four save slots.

Even if you don’t enjoy lewd visual novels I can recommend Projekt Passion. You can skip those parts and still enjoy the great humor and good lore. I finished the first season in six hours and nine minutes. I paid $13.90 for it and can say it is easily worth that much if not more.
