Bargain bin racing game, what could go wrong?
Project Gotham 2 has a better layout in my opinion than the first, this starts you out in the Kudos mode with different series of cars you can race with, each series has it's own difficulty level. You can easily breeze through the game getting all Steel but whats the fun in that? I chose to breeze through it on easy but follow up with going straight to Gold or Platinum to unlock more vehicles. While the gameplay is fun and at times challenging I thought there should have been more you could do with the cars, after you unlock the best in each series it renders the other cars useless and listless! I mean why drive a car thats no fun anymore?
There are however some serious issues with this game making me wonder why a basic knowledge of science isn't needed to program. Often times you'll get a bit bumpy with other cars into the more difficult stages but it seems only you are harmed. You can completely spin an AI challenger and shortly there after they're passing you without a hope. If the difficulty is there to be challenging, do so by other means and not by forgetting about gravity and realism. All this aside this game was fun, challenging and I'd say an overall success! Great fun solo or with a friend or 3!
